Model: 8-X-541 Chasis; RC-1065 - RCA RCA Victor Co. Inc Vintage Art Deco 5 Tube Bakelite AM Radio manufactured in 1947-48.
This is one of the RCA "Golden Throat" Radios (see label on bottom of unit) produced before the days of "High Fidelity."
This item was professionaly serviced with replacement of any suspect components; tubes and filter capacitors. Radios from this era exhibit troublesome static caused by among other things deteriorating capacitors in the IF transformers. Reception is free of hum or static across the AM band with very pleasant sound from the original speaker. Backboard and loop antenna are in good condition, and original knobs and fasteners are all present. This American made Five tube radio classic is ready to proudly display anywhere, and to enjoy for many years as it has been restored to original operating condition.
